After many e-mails from Craigslist to make extra cash ("like eBay"); I decided to enroll. On November 24, 2008, my mastercard was charged for $106.00.
Craiglist offered a $7.00 per month charge if you sign up for the whole year vs. $39.00 if you did this monthly. The program was called: Quick Cash.
I have found out... it is Quick Cash for Craigslist!
I enrolled and December 19, 2008, got my floppy disk/cd mailer. Between the time I had decided to enroll and the receipt of the cd; I had heard from some family and friends this is definitely not like e-Bay. Consequently, I've been trying to cancel program.
Today (January 2, 2009, I finally spoke to a human being at 800-381-7820
(after holding for about 15/minutes). She informed me that "as of today, we will not charge you any more; however, you are not eligible for the $106.00
to be refunded." She, also, told me when I asked for address to ship back the cd "no need to return; it will do you no good. We don't want it back."
"You get no credit for return; nor can you get refund. However, we will not
charge you any further."
I asked her "what the hell can you charge me for in addition to the $106.00
when I've cancelled program and request refund? " She did not answer as she told me she had "another phone call." I repeated the question..only to find out she had hung up the phone!!!
I'm calling my Mastercard today and asking them to credit me back. I have no idea if this will work but what other alternative do I have?
Craigslist is something to be aware of... that is for sure!!! This Quick Cash program is only for Craigslist!!!
