This company send us a letter saying we won $250 K, which 1/20 of the total $5 million dollar prize. The letter states that we should deposit the check enclosed after contacting them for the amount of $4900.00. We received further instructions when we did. We were to send a Money Gram made out to Sharon Raymond for $2800.00 which would cover the 1% tax due to Canada. At that point we still belived the whole thing. We deposited the check. The check cleared.
At this point we decided to google these schamers only to see this website full of stories about the same exact people. Obviously I am not sending the moneygram, but I have a hunch that this check which we deposited will end up bouncing in a couple of days. These people should go to jail for what they have done. The have embaressed us all. We were ecstatic that we won money and ended up telling our close family and friends of the winnings. We will defnitely be going to the FBI. I have copies of everything.
