Money Scam $2, 400 check was not legit Kelowna B.C VIY

I recieved a check in the mail for $2, 400. So I took it to the bank to see if it was legit. It was. So I deposited it into my account. I let it sit for a couple days and I went to withdraw some money out my account and it was in the negative. It was a scam.
