I got a letter in the mail today with a check made out to me in the amount of $2950.00. I called the number and asked for Anthony Lambert as the letter instructed. The first red flag I should have saw was that he didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Then he told me to cash or deposit the check in my account and call them afterwards.
I would then be told where to send the money, which was supposed to be taxes and fees. He then said that someone would deliver the rest of my money, ($64, 000.00) in 2-5 days. Luckily I had recently heard in the news about money fraud and decided I should check this out before doing anything. I think these people are sick. I work my butt off just to live paycheck to paycheck and this would have ruined me. I hope others will be smart and always do research on things like this. Never believe something that is too good to be true.
