When things go well with a vendor -- as normally they should -- it is difficult to say with certainty that they are truly reliable. It is somewhat of a paradox that it is only when things go awry that we can truly say that a vendor will “go the extra mile” for their customers. My recent experience with GREAT JOURNEYS INC. proves to me that they are TRULY “digne de confiance”! Here’s my story:
In September 2011, I ordered a difficult-to-find language course from their website and, owing to inventory problems, Great Journeys could not make good the order. After an exchange of Emails, they offered (a) to refund my prepaid purchase price, (b) to supply an equivalent product, or (c) to do their best to recover/recreate the product that I originally ordered. I opted for the latter. Despite the lengthy (and one suspects significant) problems that they had with their own suppliers, they came through on the order. I am NOT given to making trivial compliments, they TRULY worked hard on this order! In short, YOU CAN TRUST THEM to “go the extra mile”.
