I had recieved a $2, 800 Cashiers Check in the mail on September 27, 2006. Apparently this money was for the insurance Processing Officer to futher finalize and effect payment immediately my $275, 000 that I had supposedly won.
As a Christian Woman, I do not play lottery of any kind but I am on the computer and internet, e-mails. I could not figure out how I won a lottery??!! I told my husband and showed it to him and he told me to check it out. Honestly, I thought the Lord answered my prayers, which he does, but this was definately not the Lord's "Good" work!
I called the number today on the letter just out of curosity, and I got this message machine which stated that there was no more room for messages. Within a minute, my phone rings and of course the number showed up on the ID. Well, I was supposed to talk to Robbin Louis or Bob Johnson, I got Bob. He told me to deposit my check today (Tuesday) and call him back on Thursday for further intructions and I should recieve my $275, 000 check Saturday.
Well, here is where the blessing comes from the Good Lord. I was on my way to deposit my check at my bank after mine and my boys appointment at 2:00 p.m. The bank stays open until 5:00 p.m., figured I had plenty of time. Somehow, I became even busier and did not make it to the bank until 5:02!!! I could not deposit my check so I decided to go on home and see if I could find anything on the internet by the name, which of course there isn't one (web site). When I put it in the search box this Canada-Complaints.com had something on this "scam". This was a blessing to me and my family in a lot of ways.
I pray for the people who have been scammed already or about to. Please listen to that still small voice, Do Not cash that check! May God Bless you and your company, Canada-Complaints.com, for all your hard work to protect people like me.
Now all we need are some hard working, honest Lawyers to defend the comsumers and prosceute the "scammers".
