Cutter Recovery, on behalf of Instaloans in Victoria, BC Canada, made an unauthourized withdrawal of $283.60 July 20, 2006 more than a year and a half later to collect on a payday loan. I had already submitted a complaint regarding Instaloans with the Canadian Association of Community Financial Service Providers in Ottawa, ON in May 2005. This complaint was filed with Instaloans at the time. There was no futher correspondence with them to me since. Cutter Recovery did not indicate at any time by mail or phone that I was in arrears.
When the withdrawal from my account was made in July 2006, I contacted Wendy Locke, Manager of Cutter Recovery and questioned the withdrawal. I faxed copies of my letters and responses from Canadian Association of Community Financial Service Providers to Wendy Locke. She has not acknowledged my fax nor returned my phone messages since. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau in Edmonton, Alberta as well as Corporate and Consumer Services of the Alberta Government regarding the actions of Cutter Recovery Services.
