British Gaming Commision - ripoff

Received a letter dated August 24, 2006 stating that I was a winner in the British Gaming Commision British Lotto. That I was to received $85, 500.00 but with a deduction of $5, 301.00 for Sponsonr's Commission which was Sun Source Financial Management Group and a check for $2, 994.45, dated 8/23/2006 made on Lock Wood & Winant, Inc. ( a Fish Market). Said it was for to cover the clearance fees of $2840.00 needed to process winnings.

First I went on internet and looked up Lockwood&Winat, Inc. and found that they were in a lot of trouble from than audit. Then I gooled British Gaming Commision and came to this website where others have received either the same letter and check or different wording and check written.

I could smell a rat just from the letter itself with no return address, why was the check made out for more than the fees. Why did I have to sent them a check for the $2840.00 when this check was adaquate to cover.
