To all people who read this, I have already mentioned this to the local Lethbridge City Police in Alberta, who advised me to speak to my local police department. I have been robbed of $40 as others have of between $35 - $40. I work in small claims in the litigation department of one of Canada's biggest and most reputable collection agencies. Even I fell for this - it's that convincing, so don't feel bad or stupid.
I am asking everyone who has affected by this to report this to your local police department. Keep and copy: all emails sent to you by this company and dba's (companies that they are doing business as);all proof of payment and if by cheque, money order, Xpress Mail, Registered Mail, etc proof of these; copy and keep all ads you see from this company including emails, website addresses, phone numbers, etc. It is imperative that we warn others and get the police nationwide to investigate. Do give the police this website address for rip-offs. Keep all details of contacts, times, and officer # from police.
I am going to see if I can trace the ISP provider for these ads and do some investigation of my own into the company helping with their email marketing. Whatever you do, do not make phone calls letting this company (s) know we are taking matters further as the persons involved may try to run for it. I jest with you not as I started as a tracer (1 step below p.i), collector and litigation support (small claims).
Please contact me at (((ROR REDACTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES))) so we can get a list of everyone who has been affected by this. I advise you not to share any further information with each other until we have let the police deal with this. Whether or not the parties involved will be stopped and charged by the police with fraud is down to whether or not they can catch him/her/them. There after we may be able to start a suit of claim against them, but without a party to serve we will not get any compensation.
I personally was relying on this as extra funds to give my kids a better life, and anyone who hurts that hurts my kids. I am sure you all have your stories.
