I have joined this club in June 2007 with one year contract. The CSR told me that you have to renew your account one year after your membership expires. I stopped using gym in April 2008 but paid my May dues and asked the front desk staff at the gym if my membership is over. She confirmed, and I came home relaxed and signed up for my school gym.
Now as of October 7, 2008 ; I got a call from a very rude lady after 4 months arguing that I have to pay 5 months monthly dues otherwise they will forward my case to attorney, court etc etc.
I asked her that why am I charged when I have stopped using the gym and my memberhsip is over?!? And how come nobody called me informing this?!
All she had to say in answer to this was: are u paying or should I file your case?
All I have to say is, FITNESS ONE IS A BIG TIME RIPOFF... DONT EVER THINK OF SIGNING UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP. THEY HAVE NO MANAGEMENT AND THE STAFF DON'T KNOW THE BUSINESS.
There is no way I will pay them a single penny, and will take my case in court no matter if it cost me more. We should not let these people rip off other innocent customer.
