First cancelled my membership in writing on October 2007, and then again in February 2008.
Fitness One continued to withdraw membership cost from my bank account. I contacted them again. Was told to put in writing and it would take 60 days. It has been 4 years since then. And then I learn this week Fitness One closed it's Main Danforth doors in 2010, sold to Premier Fitness and then Premier Fitness sold to Beach Family Fitness. I spoke to Beach Family Fitness... they told me "It is not their problem." When I asked who I am to see about getting my money back they told me to contact Fitness One. I am at a loss for words, and very upset that not only am I getting ripped off, but a company says "it is not their problem, " even though they are the ones deducting the money from my account now. AND I was told that if I stopped the automatic withdrawals it would be reported to the credit (Equifax)... and so I am dammed if I do, and dammed if I dont. I dont know what to do. I want my money back and for them to stop taking the money out of my account. Any advice?
