I sigend up for what I thought was a 12 month contract at Premiere fitness (Yorkdale shopping centre.) Being a student I ran into affordability problems, On July 21, 2007 my father went to Premiere to make good my arrears. He was told, in order extricate me from any continuing obligation, he would have to buy the remainder of the contract out-in good faith he did just that. He was convinced by the manager at Premiere fintness that the matter was closed.
Not so-Pemiere Fitness has frequently gone into my account (sometimes up to 6 times a month) since Dec 1st, 2008, due to an, "automatic renewal policy." Both me and my father were not informed of this policy and now consequently, I am facing aproximately $500.00 in NSF chargers.
Also, premiere fitness continues to threaten me with collections. This has got to stop-these people are a mean money making machine and they do at the expense of their clients-it makes me sick. We need a better law to protect consumers.
