Ripoff *EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

On January 21, 2004, my account was debited $139. My bank sent me information about the debit and I found a toll free number to call. This is an answering service in Canada. I was asked to fax a copy of my bank statement in order to prove that I had been debited and that I would be refunded within 21 business days. I called 25 business days later and was told that my bank posted it as an NSF and they didn't ever receive $139. I Again I faxed a copy of the paid statement on February 23rd. I have made daily calls since. Today I was told that the money had been put back into my account and to check with my bank. I did and the money was not refunded. I called again and was told that a check was mailed to me yesterday and I would have the money next Tuesday.

The ironic thing is that the address and last name this company had for me were changed over four years ago. How did they do this. Was it something I ordered and paid for with a check? It had nothing to do with my debit card.
