I received at plane white envelope today in the mail. It was addressed to me at my old address and was forwarded to where I live now. It also had my maiden name on it. Inside was a letter from shoppers lotto, consumers reward program, AC financial services, saying that i have won $38, 000.00 and a check for $3, 800.00 it also states that I will need to use some money on this first check to pay for the applicable Insurance process fee on my winning of ($38, 000.00)
I had a good feeling it was a scam! I called their Phone number and got a little mouthy with the woman that answered. Then she hung up on me. I contacted one of the local vender's listed on their site and the manager was busy. I called the phone # giving on shopperslotto.com and it said it was disconnected. When i asked for my password the page could not be displayed.
I was smart and found on Google that it has been happening to many people. I can only hope the next person can read this before they get sucked in.
