How did they get my address and details? and how dare they send me such a scam!! Toronto

I recieved a letter from capital distribution group stating i had won 9000 pounds payable in 3 instalments or a lump some. i was tempated to send off the money they requested to claim it but thank goodness i went on the internet and found out it was a scam i was so cross how dare those people take 19.95 off people like myself who at christmas time when money is short enought.these people has to be stopped.
