Roof repairs, eavestrough cleaning, etc
Scams senior citizens

I called the number 647-702-9611 in response to their ad for eavestrough cleaning. This was a $70. job that turned into a $2000.scam nightmare. There are two operators - a short fellow whose name is Julian McKenna climbs the roof, pretends to clean the troughs, cuts a hole in the roof, causing damage and vandalism, comes down to inform you that the roof has "animal damage, infested with raccoon feces, dead birds, etc. etc." He calls his "boss" - chief scammer KYLE to come and give an estimate. This KYLE guy is the brain behind this scam. He quotes $13, 875. It is refused. He quickly gets down to $8765!!! wanting a 75% deposit. We tell him that we will get other estimates. He is persuasive, insisting that the roof must be repaired immediately before the rain comes down. We reluctantly give him a cheque for $2000. He cashes it within half an hour, then makes more demands. We call the police but are told that this is a "civil" matter - buyer beware - and we are now trying to get this shitbag to return our money. He still answers the phone but hangs up when questioned about his license and HST #. He has several aliases, is slick and dangerous. I have his vehicle license plate numbers but can't get info on WHO he is. Can Anyone provide VALID information on how to deal with this scumbag fraudster?

He mentioned that he only works in the summer!! - Will be closing down at the end of August I presume, so need all the assistance I can get to nail down this monter.

Thank you.
