Aeroplan Customer Care (1-800-361-5373) is the most abysmal help line I have ever encountered. Apart from the inane voice-response system to start with, there is an interminable wait for an agent with arcane music playing all the time, and no indication of how long it's going to be. After 30 minutes the line went click, and I started again. I suggest anyone collecting airmiles start using a different airline where there is some modicum of service.
