Dear Sir/Madam,
On Feb 15th 2005, I received a letter dated Feb 11th 2005 from Impark requesting me to pay $69.55 because I did not pay my violation ticket which I never received.
The incident:
On Dec 16th, I pull over on Impark location 1012 Robson Street. My brother was on the front passenger side. I noticed there's an Indian impark attendant on bike there. I got out of my car. The attendant asked if I'm going to pay. I replied yes and told him that I am just going to my back seat to look for change in my jacket. The attendant was still there waiting for me.
After 30 seconds, I realized that I didn't have the change, I drove my car and parked it at the "Passenger Only" zone. My brother was inside the front passenger seat all the time. I guess the attendant was dissatisfied that he waited for nothing and rode his bike to my car at the "Passenger Only" zone and wrote down something.
I never received any ticket until Feb 15th when I got this letter stating that I didn't pay for my first ticket (which I never received). I called Impark and talked to the manager Emily Drake (Feb 15th, 1:40pm). She said as long as I occupied the parking space even after 30 seconds of looking for change, I have to pay. She also mentioned that a ticket was never issued as the attendant wanted to aviod any confrontation.
I just felt that it's unfair for people who was parked for 1 minute looking for change to pay but couldn't find any change.
Please let me know my right in this situation. Thanks and best regard.
