We have a female who leased a 2006 MBZ C230 from the company I work for. she drove off never made a payment. in the course of time. I traked her down in Atlantic City NJ. we had a repo company who worked it. but found out they made an attempt to contact. We pulled the case. looking for a new comapny on the web. I found. ICU. I talked to Rick. at. ICU. 888-577-7376 who told me that the fee was $350.00 for recovery then 10 days free storage and 15 from there on. We faxed them a cover letter from our office with this dollar amount . and signed their hold harmless. the case was assigned to Jay Carter. ICU. 866-626-7376. we had a good dialog in the beggining. they beefed up the ventures. and worked the case. On the 6th of Jan 09. I get a call from Jay telling me that they have our car. After a Physicall confrontation with the driver while they were moving out of the home address I PROVIDED. and were able to recover the unit 3 blocks away. We were very happy to hear this news. On the 7th of Jan 09. We recieved the invoice. $350.00 for repo. $120.00 for Keys. $90.00 for lock out. and $3, 716.00 for skiptracing.
I was Shocked. I called to inquire about this fee. and was meet with hostility. told pay or we will not see our unit. I asked were and what skip tracing they did. both by phone and Email. I sent to [email protected] I recieved a fax from him stating very clearly. when we pay. we will get this info. I asked him of his buisness sence. stating. It would be nice to see what we are being billed for. prior to payment. again. the hostage situation. SO I did what I'm good at. and Called. a Detective from Atlantic City. As per her. a company called. xxxxxxxxxxxx. Did the repo. and it was 1 block away from our home address.? I called. Joe. at xxx.BY THE WAY. A realy nice guy and very forthcoming. he informed me they had the key. and never had any confrontations with the driver or any one concerning this unit.? He was very helpful. emailed several times with phone calls. I have in my possesion. a copy of the work order he received from a comany called. CCI. from LV. signed by JAY CARTER. stating that our company wasd the cleint. and gave address we provided. Number 1. We never heard of CCI nor did we sign any documents or hold harmless with them. number 2. there contract shows the set $350.00 plus $15.00 a day storage. which we would be happy to pay.
But. We sit here. without our unit. it's being held hostage for $4, 000.00 plus.
From a company we never heard of.? We latter find out. from Joe at xxx that he has 3 other units that we own. to recover. sent to him from. Speedy-Repo. we have stopped all recoverys. When I talk to JAY CARTER at CCI. about this . he threats me no car if we dont pay the dollar amount. I asked him. What relationship is CCI TO ICU. I asked him to provide us the contracts we signed to CCI. I get the run-around. I dont see the company relationship.
yet they hold our car they never had athurization to recover???
I say. SCAM. SPEEDY-REPO. CCI. AND ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT WANTS TO CHARGE YOU ANY DOLLAR PERCETANGE OF THE UNIT YOU OWN.
BEWARE. I ASSURE YOU A FORMAL COMPLAINT IS COMING.
