Received a phone call from that company stating that he had a couple that wanted to by my car and that they were car collectors. Caller told me that he got my name from Auto Trader and that he could do a better job than them.
Caller new allot of things about the car I was selling and the caller knew the Ottawa area. Caller told me to sell my car for 30, 000$ and to be firm on my price. He told me that he would get paid 157.50$ only if the car was sold. Caller said that the money would not be charged to my credit card if the car were not sold.
He told me that the people would be calling me before the Saturday of the week he called me. After getting all the information about my car and where I lived he was friendly he asked me to give him my credit card number just so he would not get screwed if he sold my car.
Gave him my credit card number (big mistake) and he told me that I would get an Email confirming that what he just told me was true. I did get an Email but the Email was a receipt telling me that I had made a transaction and it also said not to reply to that Email because it was a receipt sending email only.
Had no phone number to call them no place where they were. Just got my credit card bill and it says on the bill that they paid themselves 157.50$ and that they were in Calgary Alberta.
