Ripoff recommended and did work that not only did not fix problem created new problems instead

While on my way camping, my car stalled three times on the highway going about 110KM per hour. The second time it stalled it would not restart, so I had the car towed to Red Deer Canadian Tire. At this time the only problem I was having was that the car stalled while driveing, and I told the mechanic that the stalling seemed to coincide with my lifting my foot off of the gas pedal.

We went to the hotel to wait for them to get it all figured out. The next day the shop manager phoned me and said that there was nothing wrong with my car, that he had it running all day long in the shop and it seemed fine. I told him to get in it and take it on the highway. He did that and it stalled. So we then had to rent a hotel room for a second night and wait for them to figure it out again. Later that afternoon, the manager (Jerrod) phoned me again and said "we know what's wrong with your car, and there's a 90% chance that if we replace the ignition module that will solve your problem" I asked how much and he told me three hundred dollars, and i told him to go ahead.

That same day jerrod phoned and told me to come and pick up my car. He asked one of the girls at the desk to go get my car and pull it out of the shop. She came back in and told the manager that it stalled three times on its' way out of the shop. I had already paid the bill by then of course.

I began telling the manager (Jerrod) that I wanted my money back and he told me "no, I told you that there was only a 90% chance that the problem would be solved and you took your chances" As I was speaking to the manager a young woman from another department came up from behind me and started swearing at me and told me that she didn't like the way I was talking to Jerrod. I told her to leave me alone, that this was between me and Jerrod, and she told me that she hoped my car blew up on the highway with me and my family in it. Jerrod assured me that the car would get me to my destination and that all i had to do if it should stall again was wait a half hour and resart it.

We drove away from Canadian Tire and noticed right away that my dash indicators (signals and fuel tank indicator) were not working anymore. Also, on reading the bill more carefully I saw that I had been charged for a tow (my car has lifetime roadside assist), and yet the odometer read the same as it did when they got it... even on the bill... how did he get stranded without driving it even 1 KM?

We left for the campground and about five minutes from the park gate it stalled again, stranding us 100 KM away from the nearest town in the mountains, for four and a half hours. We phoned a tow truck which cost another $250. Jerrod in the meantime called my cell number to apologize for the behaviour of his employee. But still refused to refund my money, and at one point in time told me that he could take the ignition modulator back out, to which my response was to say "please do and give me back all of my money instead" He said he could not do that, but that he had a "talk" with the employee who had attacked me.

The car is fxed now (except for the indicators that Canadian Tire broke) and it turned out to be the fuel pump... I had asked Canadian Tire to check into the fuel line and the fuel pump, but I guess they didn't... they just went ahead and guessed at what the problem could be
