I worked for Nishe Technology from November 2008 to July 31, 2011 when I was let go without notice without or without final pay in the amount of $5, 000.00 plus expenses. Initially after being let go, I was promised by both Sue and AnnMarie (owners), in emails and over the phone, that I would be made whole by the beginning of September. This did not happen. They have not returned any of my calls or emails since around the middle of September.
It is not only unethical to not pay someone for the work they have done, but it could also be deemed as fraud. Nishe is a non-bank who provides prepaid payment cards to companies and individuals who are looking for alternative solutions to checks and cash or who do not have or do not want a bank account. It can a lucrative business, provided you follow good business practices. I question why any bank would want to deal with Nishe Technolgy, especially if they can't meet the most fundamental requirement - paying wages!
