I know on a few of the pizza hut reports it was mentioned that managers are stealing! Well I can tell you as someone that dealt with pizza huts all over canada for many years that its very common. Managers get paid quite low, less that 30, 000/year and when they become dis-heartened with "the system" they start to take home some profit, i'm not saying its ok, thats what happens.
Manager also like to change the employees hours at the end of the pay week because they have used more than they were allowed to. So the manager just takes away a few hours here and there, they know who wont notice. They always have some reason for the mistake if they get asked about it.
I also witnessed many employee's stealing as well, selling food either at take out or in the dining room and then just simply keeping the money. Managers seem to like to cut back on the amount of product they are supposed to give you to make things look better come inventory time, ever wonder why you didnt get that extra cheese? Now you know.
NOTHING ever gets thrown out at pizza hut, not spoiled meat, not dough that is turning to goo because its been in the walk-in for days. Either it gets used on the buffet or they just changed the expiry tag as they are hand written. Theres a reason that buffet is so cheap! You might as well eat of the garbge!
Cleaning is something else that rarely ever happens at pizza hut. The main reason is the company is so cheap there is barely enough employees to run the store, let alone clean anything. They've asked me to do cleaning jobs that a professional cleaner couldnt accomplish with specialized equipment, let alone a green scrubby and cleaning solution.
Ever called the pizza hut call center to file a complaint? You really think they care? They get paid 0.60 - 0.90 cents a call, they are not allowed to give you the pizza free unless double delivery quite time has passed, for some people that can be 90 min! Also if you request a callback from head office, it'll never happen, the agent might gaurantee you it will, but you will hear nothing.
I actually cant believe pizza hut is not bankrupt because every year they increase menu prices and provide a worst product. Not many people want to wait hours for a delivery. I used to think also a store closing early because the staff didnt show or they ran out of dough (because they make just enough, never extra), its very common, one store in calgary did it every Friday you could bank on it.
Why am I posting this?? The public deserves to know there being ripped off and I dont want to see customers, especially kids getting sick.
