My God this started two years ago!!!
in October, November and December of 2006 I had this unknown charge going through my mastercard for $19.95
I caught it in December of that year.
This charge started three months after I ordered one of those sandwich omelet makers from the USA after seeing a USA TV commercial it. The amazing part is the charge was coming from Montreal Canada and not from the USA.
So it was not as obvious to see. So this scam in international and it works.
The charges came fast a furious for the GTExpress 101... it was a great deal, I thought, at less than $59.95 US.
But by the time I got it in Canada, it cost me $123.00..then the $19.95 charge started in October 2006.
I reported this to Mastercard and gave them all the info and then canceled my card right away.
I have not heard about this again until my fiancee from the USA called me today and said she had a $19.95 charge going through her account and it had happened a long time.
It immediately triggered my memory of this. She gave me this website address which I do not think was available back in 2006. And here I am adding my complaint which started back in 2006.
To let you know this will happen in Canada too.
If this is the same scam... these people who are doing it have scammed millions from Canadians and Americans for over 2 years. How the hell do you stop these people??
