On 1-31-09 I received notification from this company stating I was a winner in the international sweepstakes drawn on 1-04-09 in the UK which was organized by Fidelity international lotto. My amount of winnings was to be $250, 000.00. Enclosed was a check for the amount of 4.820.00 to enable me to pay the aplicable taxes of $2, 950.00. I was to receive the balance of my winnings after the taxes were paid. I was also cautioned not to attempt to use the check before I called.
Upon calling I was assured this was a legitimate check and to return the call after the check was deposited in my account.
After doing futher research, I found another account of the same thing on canada-complaints.com and decided to file a report also.
Since the check was not deposited, I was not actually ripped off, but I wish to inform others that may encounter the same type deal that this may not be as legitimate as claimed.
