This company approved me for a loan of $8000 which was their minimum amount. They sent me the agreement and terms and gave me an option of having a cosigner, collateral, or an "insurance blanket". At the time, I didn't have a cosigner or callateral so I took the insurance blanket. I had researched various companies, including this one that offered a similar alternative to secure a personal loan and figured maybe it was something small lenders were offering in a time of hardship. I thought I was doing everything I could to try and protect myself from this situation. Unfortnatley, I checked ripoff report and consumer beware and there were no postings on this company... at that time. I signed and sent the agreement back along with my insurance blanket of $989 on Friday. The loan was supposed to be there by Monday morning... obviously never happened. I called, emailed, and faxed ALL day and finally Emily answered and told me she would find out and to call her back in 30 min. I did so and she never answered. Tuesday I called ALL day again and when Emily picked up, she proceeded to tell me that I owed Taxes but due to the circumstances (my circumstance is that i drained my and my husbands accounts to pay the "insurance" blanket assuming funds would be back on Monday and now had no money to even get gas and go to work) she would cut the fee in half. I told her this felt like a total scam so she transfered me to her boss, Janet Murphy. Janet continued to tell me my options of geting a refund-2weeks later or procedding with the loan which she would guarantee me I would have in 1-3 hours. When I still didn't believe her, she sent me an additional loan agreement stating I would recieve funds that day by 530pm. Out of total desperation and ignorance to how malicious people can be, I got an advance from my boss and sent them additional money. Of course, no loan. I called, emailed, and faxed continually that day until I reached Janet. All she said is that it will definitely be there by morning. Well i still don't have it and after reading the other rip off reports (which I seriously wish were posted just a couple days sooner!) I have cancelled my bank accounts and joined a credit watch program. Janet had offered to refund my money and I plan to continually call this company until that happens. This situation has caused me SERIOUS financial and emotional stress. Not to mention, I am supposed to be getting married, out of State next week and was taking a loan to pay the remaining balance for vendors. Well since I am now negetive, I have lost 2 major vendors and my deposits with them. I can't believe that there are people in this world who make a living stealing from those who need and that those people can actually legally form a business to do it.
