Unreputable Company Capital One has a few policies that are making them alot of money on unsuspecting credit card users.
1) Protection fees are charged even after the applicant has said NO. These fees do not show up on your bill monthly as they are charged. Thereby accumilate eventually making your card look over the limit by your fault.
2) After being asked to not allow credit limit to go over Capital On purposfully allows the fact so that they can charge the $29.00 overage fee.
3) Upon application you pay a $59.00 fee. This fee will continue to be charged even if you are not using your card.
You must request to close the account to not be charged but the protection fee even after closing the account will continue to be charged without your awareness. So in fact the account is not closed.
4) While trying to get things straighened out and contacting credit protection to request credit of the charges it takes
one-two months to see any credit in paper form but they claim the credit has been done.
This may not seem like a big deal but in fact it is. Your credit reports will not show these facts or the rib off this company is conducting. Making you the Capital One credit card user look at fault and like a bad credit risk.
After my credit overage Capital One continues to charge. Annual Fee$59.00, Credit Protection every month$28.00, overage fees monthly until things are straightened out$29.00, plust the interest charges.
Clearing up things is a nightmare due to inability to get through their lines. Lack of responsibility for over charges and simply dishonest business prectice.
My credit overage is due to Capital Ones dishonest business practice and customer abuse...
This company and these people need to be brought to justice and shut down before they distroy card users credit rating.
Shame on them...
