Atkins Lending is a scam! They feed off desparate people in need of financial help. You fill out an online application and a "representative" contacts you in about a week with your approval for a personal loan and the amount you qualify for. They ask you to fax a recent pay stub, driver's license, and social security number after they have sent you a "legal looking contract" with business license numbers and federal license numbers. Once all this is signed and sent to them they ask for a 10% collateral payment which comes off the loan. They contract is very explicit with interest rates, term of loan, payments, due date for payments, etc. They will ask you to send your collateral money via moneygram and you have the option of direct deposit or mail courrier for your loan money to be received.
Thank God for moneygram who stopped the transaction and asked to speak to us personally, told us about the frauds and refunded our money. We have already notified the Better Business Bureau of Manitoba. The address and zip code that they provide are non-existant. Do not fall for this no matter how legal documents look. NEVER pay money to borrow money!
