Andie Chan, Owner Web-Panda
Owner/ STUDENT Web-Designer
Red River College, WPG
The journey began back in the summer time when Mr. Chan and I worked in the same office. He was telling me that he was taking classes and had an intrest in Web-Design and then I said to myself hiring a student to design my company web-site my be a good idea, being a small company budget is tight so I thought hiring a student would be good and cheap. Will I should have taken the hint when he told me the prices that he was charging, however I went forward.
He was quick to make a design, upload the information and get it online. The website at first look was fine, the template etc however after we worked together the website was "some what presentable". After the site was up for a few weeks the some of the "biggies" in the industry came to me and told me they didn't think the web-site did my company justice. There were spelling errors, grammer errors and what my understanding of a web designer is that they proof read what I had sent in. Chan, was just very unprofessional from the beginning, he was a student charging prices of a professional web-designer who has been doing it for years.
A court case was filed, as Andie Chan withheld site passwords, control pages after the relationship went sour. After the case was filled and served he came around out of fear and helped me what I needed, and turned the owner ship of MY site over to me after five months or so.
He then made a demand, that if I went with his demand he would help me turn my site over to a new web hoster, after I did what he asked he replied with a BIG NO!
A professional web-designer may be a little more money, however it is worth it. Take it from someone who has been there with Web-Panda... Run far, far away!
You have been warned!
