I sent $5000 worth of gold and diamond jewelry to this company. I had checked out the website, but I hadn't done any further research. I am realizing now that I was far too trusting because it appears that this company is a scam.
I sent the items on Oct 18th. I insured them and tracked them through Canada Post. The tracking shows that the items were received on Oct 20. I called the company but I only get voicemail. I did reach 'Matthew Rogers' once but he put me on hold and after 20 min of waiting, I gave up and hung up.
In retrospect, I am utterly naive to have sent such items of value to a company that I didn't thoroughly check out. He sounded legit on the phone, and as I said, I was just way too trusting... and stupid.
Do I have ANY course of action at this point?
