On August 20th, 2022 my dog was admitted to TVEH after an episode of heat stroke. I requested that Dr. Catalano provide my dog with non-invasive oxygen therapy, fluids and absolutely no anesthesia. The doctor agreed but then drugged my dog with anesthesia and the exact drugs I told the hospital not to use. Then every single vet and vet technician lied about using these drugs on my dog to keep him from breathing and waking up on his own and to keep me from finding out this condition was being staged. This, while proceeding to gaslight me into giving the hospital thousands of dollars to explain why he was in a coma and why he couldn't breath on his own while they staged his condition. Something I have written record and evidence of when I obtained his records. Which weren't even complete.
The vet also lied about where my dog was positioned in the hospital upon admission claiming my dog was in ICU when it turned out my dog never needed to be in ICU and he was actually in the hospital part of the facility. But the doctor presented me with one invoice and that was for ICU, the most expensive area in the hospital. He did this to give himself free range to torment myself and my dog, which is exactly what he did, in an attempt to try to upsell and extort me for services my dog didn't need. These services include a $3500 MRI and a $8000 surgery.
The hospital also presented me with an estimate deemed "MISC" refusing to list the treatments they were going to perform on my dog when he was admitted, which I later found out is not at all the veterinary standard when it comes to presenting estimates to pet owners. The reason the vet did this was because he planned on ignoring my requests so he could have free range to stage my dog's medical condition with drugs and treatments my dog never needed. Then lied about everything he did and manipulated my dogs records by omitting the drugs he used on my dog, and falsifying the names of employees that don't even work there or exist in the hospital as the ones responsible for my dogs treatment.
The vet then performed invasive treatments on my dog despite my adamant requests for this not to be done, which included intubation of my dog and using the exact drugs I told the vets not to use. This hospital never had my consent to use anesthesia on my dog. I was adamant that it was not to be used on my dog at all. He was senior. But the doctors used it anyway then lied and said he wasn't on any drugs. The hospital used treatments that were not even medically necessary, went against what I asked for and caused severe and intentional harm to my dog, resulting in internal injuries causing my dog to bleed to death.
To my unexpected horror, on August 22nd, at 1:00 am Dr. Christian Catalano phoned me and began threatening me telling me if I don't do what he says and give the hospital $8000 for surgery or $3500 for an MRI that he'd kill my dog. I told him I was coming to have my dog released the next day. Dr. Catalano walked over and stabbed my dog with the medical device he was instructed not to use and left my dog to bleed to death. He even laughed about it when he saw me crying next to my dog. One of the vets told me Dr. Catalano caused blunt trauma to my dog. Another technician told me he couldn't breathe because of the severity of the assault.
I tried to take my dog home, but the hospital lied about drugging and coma-inducing my dog for days with drugs I asked them not to use to prevent him from waking up and breathing on his own. They proceeded to use these drugs on him then lied about coma-inducing my dog with drugs and demanded more money to explain why my dog was in a coma while omitting the use of these drugs. You cannot even make up the insanity that went on inside this sick place. I have medical records and recordings between myself and the hospital staff to prove all of it. My dog was also starved for 6 days despite me begging for him to be fed.
My dog's medical records and invoices also list the names of doctors who didn't work inside this hospital as employees who treated my dog. This includes the name of a doctor called Curtis Cathcart and a DVM by the name of Eric. None of whom were present or employed by this hospital at the time or to date. The hospital also charged me $ 80.00 for a neurologist exam, something they also performed without my consent, while claiming they had my consent to do this. They did not.
They also charged for bloodwork claiming they had my consent to perform additional blood work costing me $284.00. And after performing this bloodwork they refused to tell me they took additional blood work and refused to discuss the results or charges. They charged me $100's of dollars for tubes including a feeding tube but never fed my dog. My dog was starved for 5 days straight. I have several recordings and documents from the hospital to prove and support all these claims. The general manager Kim Todd had told me to shut my mouth about what happened. She said as long as the hospital had my signature they had the right to do whatever they wanted to him. I have that on recording too.
