I purchased a 42" plasma monitor from Dell Canada in May 2004. (This Monitor was manufactured by Viewsonic) My wife and I watched a few movies on the monitor before I was able to hook the unit up to my computer. Movie quality was good, however when I hooked the monitor up to my computer I am unable to read the text of any spreadsheets, word documents, or web pages on the internet. The problem is with the size of the pixels. I have tried all the different settings on the monitor, as well as the DVI input and it is all the same (very poor).

I contacted Dell in early August 2004 and was refered to their techincal department. I went through 4 different people until I was finally told I had to contact Viewsonic as they are the original manufacturer. I contacted Viewsonic and I got passed around through another 5 people there until I was told I had to contact Dell as they were the people who sold me the monitor. I then called Dell back and told them I wanted to return this monitor and I was finally told thet they would not be able to help me, original E-mail attached.

These products may be returned only in accordance with the return policy in effect on the date of invoice. Our records show that your date of invoice is 05-13-04. Unfortunately you are outside of the 30 day Total Satisfaction Return Policy.

You must contact your manufacturer for further assistance.

Unfortunately a supervisor will not be able to return this product either as you are outside of the return policy.
