OK i think we've been had..

I was billed for a $99 membership fee in May by Slumber Rentals, 51 Main St. Erin, ON. This came with a letter stating that the fee was processed by a company which is one of several (look out!) companies under the umbrella of Vacations in Paradise. Here is the kicker... the business located at 51 Main St. is Mundells Lumber Co. NOT Slumber Rentals!!!

There is an investigation by the OPP in Collingwood in its initial stages. My unofficial suggestion is that if you have any information you feel is useful, contact the officer

Here is part of the response from the Better Business Bureau:

"This company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau. We have however been contacted by Detective Kinsella who would appreciate anyone to contact her at 705-445-4321 if they have any problems. Please do so. If you wish to obtain our report go to www.bbbmwo.ca which may show other alternative numbers to contact."

I am at and am more that willing to collect truthful facts and forward them, especially if there is to be a class action suit at some point.
