Took money for 30 weeks vacation deal over 10 years and disappears

On December 4, 2005 I was called at home with the promise that I had won a trip and the only thing to do to get the prize was to go in person to claim it. I setup a meeting for the evening of December 7th, 2005

I was presented with a package of 30 trips over a period of 10 years.

Location stay packages could be accessed using the internet.

I was told and shown on paper that every weekly stay in a house, cottage, villa, condo etc owned by Fun For Life Club International was priced at $299 per week.

I was also getting a free 8 days 7 night in Cancun (airfare not included).

I was getting a certificate for a 4 day 3 night cruise with the package (airfare not included).

Based on the above I purchased a package for a total of $4422.

Back at home I found that all location rental packages offered on the internet were $699 and more.

Only last minute offered locations were at $299 not all of them.

I contacted FunForLive on Dec 15th to meet with them on the 17th of December.

On Dec 17, 2005 I met with Mr. Lee Jackson and another manager at their location 2-311 Matheson Blvd, Miss. ON

I asked him to sign my letter as a proof that I was there on or before the ten day cacellation date.

I talked about the cost of rental which was a false promotion to sell the package.

I was told that the employee "Andrea" was new and probably didn't know better.

I opted for my money back.

They refused to refund the money or reverse the credit card purchase that day.

I was offered an upgrade to the cruise to 7 days instead. I asked to be refunded again.

They stated that they will have to get this approved by the sales Director and that I will be contacted.

After a few weeks I tried to contact them on a regular basis.

I drove to their location to be told that the person responsible for this was not on site that day.

My online account was not operational after the last visit at the beginning of March 2006.

I sent many letters asking for information and refund using their online Contact us access on their site.

In may 2007 they contacted me. I was told that new management had taken over and that they wanted to see me. I was told that they were sorry for the lack of comminucation and poor customer service.

I told the manager that I wanted to be reimbursed as I ask for this back on December 17th, 2005

I was shown the same selling feature as in December 2005, site access etc... I once again asked for my money back.

I was told then that new management will review this and will contact me within a week.

I was not contacted again and they never returned my many calls or emails since then
Today trying to put a closure to this I went to their address to serve a small claim court action but the place is deserted and there is not forwarded address. Their phone is cancelled and nobody answer the new phone number listed at canada411.ca
