I hired Hoekstra to fix the sign of my business in April this year. The name of my business is The Beaty Supply Outlet. He didn't provide me an estimate and charged me $1716.75 after the job was done on Apri 21 to replace the light for just the word "Supply" of the sign. Included in the price was $200 for the charge of installing an electrical receptacle, which I don't have any issue with it. I paid him 1/2 of the bill or $858.37 on April 23 with the intention to negotiate the balance with him because I belielved he has overcharged me since I could replace the whole sign for about $2000. I wanted to see the invoice of the company who did the job for him and wanted to understand why that company could charge him $900 just to replace one light. The new light stopped working 2 weeks after it was fixed. I demanded Hoekstra to refund me $658.37 because of their shoddy quality of work. He refused to refund me the money as well as to fix the light.
