Direct energy is charging me for cooling and heating protection plan that I did not authorize. plus I did not get an aggreement or a renewall for a five year contract

Again direct energy is given the right to rip off customers. I had another one of their agents come to the door to sell me a five year gas contract. now direct energy claims it was only one year. I did not receive a renewall notice and they automatically doubled my rate. the guy even left before giving me a copy of the contract.

they said they would look into it and get back to me. fat chance of that.

the worst part is I got a call from direct energy wanting to sell me a cooling and heating protection plan. I told them no as we rent and the landlord looks after that. guess what, they started billing me for it anyway and I dont even have central air in my home, I have a boiler system.

I contacted them and they said that I would have to pay out the rest of the contract that i neither signed or authorized. legal stealing.

I worked for these people for awile and I can tell you from first hand esperience how they cheat consumers.

the most aggravating thing is that the government and the ontario energy board let them get away with this. is this ever going to be stopped
