Hi everyone.. I've been Roger's Loyal Customer for the past three years approximately. When saying loyal, I mean NOT missing any payments, and account under good stand. However I do admit I missed one payment for the month of May. Have I paid it off? Definitely before the billing cycle ended!
What happened here is; I went on a vacation from May 15th, 2009 and returned back home by end of June. I was aware the fact I was owing $324.24. So what I've done is let the customer service representative know I'll be about couple of days late on payment, and they transferred me to the billing department. When I was transferred, we had a mutual agreement to pay before July 27th, 2009.
The last payment was received was on July 26th, 2009 which is part of the partial payment (left over) and I was owing $123.76. Now that made my balance owing $0.00 and was verified over the phone and online.
On July 29th, 2009, I have received my new bill owing $1055.19! Can you imagine that? Crazy right, but it's true! So I have reviewed my bill to see what in the world got me owing $1055.19 when I was here in my local city.
Apparently on July 9th 01:22 when I was sleeping and have no one in the household besides my dog, they claimed I made a phone call to SAO TOME which I traced the name for Portugal when I don't know anyone there and coste $46.50. To make it more fun at the same date at 02:06 I was charged $62.00, and on the same date at 03:36, $62.00 and so on. The number was showing was 239980258, like honestly why would someone do an international phone call while he/she can buy a phone card!
Then to make it even more fun, Rogers claims I made call to Nigeria costing about $1.01 on the same date but at 15:33! So I have called up customer relations, first one put me on hold for 30 minutes like how rude is that, and second one promised to waive off the charges because they know I am a loyal customer and those charges never was my fault but in courtesy because they done a mistake they will wave the whole $648.47 for long distance charges.
So what happened then I got disconnected and spoke with another representative in which I was put on hold again with 35 minutes wait time. The representative made me repeat myself and promised to e-mail the guy who promised me to waive the charges so that she wouldn't duplicate the statement; thus she told me she will give me a callback within 30 minutes.
Half hour went by and no one called me, so I called Rogers for customer relations and was transferred AGAIN! I ALSO waited this time 45 minutes! Then a guy answered and had to repeat my self AGAIN! How frustrating is that.
After explaining to this gentlemen, he placed me on a five minute hold and said he can only waive off half of the charges because they are legitimate. I'm like that's not what I was told, I was promised different, and what he said is the guy who promised me denied telling me that!
Then I got angry and wanted to cancel my service and he was okay with that, but I didn't cancel yet, I said I want to dispute this to upper level. He's like I'm fine with that.
What kind of people are those. I need people to stand up for their rights!
