My wife received a letter in the mail today from a company named Fidelity Financial Trust in Saint John, NF Canada. In the letter it was explained ot her that she was one of the winner of $250, 000.00 as a result of a drawing of Wal-mart, Sears, Home Depot and Safeway of the USA and Canada.
Serial numbers were stated in the letter making it look very official. Enclosed was a check in the amount of $4, 750.00 which was to be used for payment of Notorization and Processing of her winnings. Payment was to be made to one Kelly Princeton of B & B Law Firm 6809 8th Ave. St. John, NF Canada, E5B 4T8.
She was advised to deposit or cash the check to enable her to have the funds to pay the legal services. The Claim Agent named is Steve Brown at 1-778-863-8577.
The amount of the legal fees, etc. is $3, 850.00 leaving her with $900.00.
Well, after 40 years in law enforcement and a lot of that time was spend in handling "White Collar Crimes" this one stood out like a sore thumb to me.
Beware folks... time are tough and these low life scum bags are out to get your money, property and anything else they can. No matter how hard up you are it can always get even worse and this is only one of many ways these low lifes will try to get to you.
