Check for $4998 winning Shoppers Sweepstakes

I received a letter in a blank envelope from Fast Forwarding Securities Inc saying that I had won $250000. Enclosed was a check for $4998 presumably to pay taxes on the winnings of a Shoppers Sweepstakes. The check's bank name is Boston Private Bank & Trust Co, Welleeley, MA 02451. I read canada-complaints.com before I decided that it was a hoax. This is a sad way to prey upon people in hard times.
