In December 2006 I preordered some Battlestar Galactica dog tags, based on the statement on the site that they were expected to be available within a couple of weeks. All Movie Replicas emailed me immediately that my order processed successfully (meaning they took my money for the dog tags and the shipping--$122.65), but I waited month after month.
I emailed the company in April and they said production delays in the collectibles industry are common. It was true, the dog tags were not yet available from the manufacturer, but my problem was that All Movie Replicas had taken my money immediately.
After waiting a full year I asked them to return my $122.65 and informed them they were in violation of the Fair Credit Act. I have gotten no response whatsoever.
Call me crazy, but on December 3, 2007, I placed another order with All Movie Replicas. This item, a poster, was in stock, so I figured I was safe.
I paid $8.99 for shipping a small poster. According to the website, the item was to ship December 10 at the latest. When Dec. 20 arrived and still no package, I emailed the company and was told it would be shipped the next day!
I called the company immediately and complained, and was promised the poster would be sent by 2-day shipping (this would still be too late for the Christmas celebration for which I needed the gift).
The next day I got notified that the package did ship, but they had sent it UPS Ground.
