I recieved on 19 Oct 2007, the same envelope from 8300 Steeles Avenus West, Woodbridge, Ontario Canada, L4H 1J1. Supposedly, a ticket (I never filled out) was selected in Las Vegas Nevada (A place I have not been since I was 14 years old and they would not let me in nor some 20 year old musclebound dude years ago and I ain't gone back). I to like, City girl from New York, was given 3 weeks to claim my prize.
The envelope with a letter and check delievered by the US Postal Service of the United States of America, as City girl explains about her envelope with an Letter stating an Award of ($82, 000.00) Dollars, and it also had a check enclosed for the same amount of $2, 300.70 from a Bank of Frio Canyon, Leakey, TX 78873-0869.
On my letter the name is different mine is a Representative Mrs. Helen Roberts, at the following telephone number 1-604-906-0459. and the signature was a scribble.
The spelling of my name that appears on the envelope is the only way I use that spelling is strickly for and ONLY when I go online... so I know they got the information of my name, and address off the internet.
I too started by researching yesterday by looked up the city first in Texas on the check to find a small one horse town west to San Antonio, Texas. Then I looked up the bank to find the list of all the banks in that area only to not find the Bank of Frio Canyon. That threw up RED FLAGS and I knew this is a US Attorney General case and I set it aside.
This morning 20 Oct 2007, my roommate saw the envelope and got all excited and I had to burst his bubble, he did not believe me that it could be a scam... he even called the number and a woman answered and asked for our phone number which he gave the old house phone number that I had disconnected two months ago. She asked for the number he was calling from and he asked why and she hung up the phone. When that happened he called back too... only to get the busy signal. That is when he started to believe me.
While he was talking with the lady I was showing him the town on the map and then I looked up the company name that is when I found the canada-complaints.com site and we decide that others need to be warned.

Posted mark out of Canada where there laws are different than ours. But a RIP OFF IS A RIP OFF and someone who lost there jobs and only working part time struggling to keep food on the table and the Lights on, Rent paid, and failing all that to have this come across my desk is just one more slap in the face.
