I worked in Saint John NB Canada for a period of 3 weeks using my US calling card number to connect to the internet as well as calls home. I have two billings on my Ameritech bill with OAN Plus where calls range from 80 cents to well over one dollar per minute. My charges in June 2003 from this company were 1600 dollars and in July 541 dollars.
I have searched the web for this company and I do not think it is an accident they selected the initials OAN as it is used by a multitude of other organizations. My Googke search found over 38 thousand entries when OAN is entered.
When I thought I found their website as a tele-communications company in Canada it redirects me to another company called ACI that offers international long distance rates (I suppose through OAN but that wasn't referenced) at less than 3 cents a minute.
I can not understand how using my Ameritech calling card ended with these types of fees. I do feel it is a rip off. I paid the 1600 first bill and disputed the second bill, but they turned off my home phone due to this and I am a thirty year customer.
I read another report on your rip offs about this company and that's what brought me to you. That's my dilema. Thanks...
