Eaton's West offers carpet, furnace and duct cleaning. The guy from the company (Hamid) came to our house to make duct and vents cleaning. We asked him to do vents upstairs and furnace cleaning downstairs. He continuosly offered to do some extra cleaning of pipes, vents, etc, which we said we do not want him to do. Then he offered motor cleaning - we again declined. Then he said he will clean two pipes which connect to the furnace and that it will take him 45 min per pipe to do and will cost 59$/pipe. We declined as too expensive (have witnesses as we did it).
After 30 min he gave us a bill for ALL air vents in the house and also charged us with pipes cleaning (2x59$ and each 45 min???). We declined to pay because we did not ask him to do that, but he argued very loud insulted us in our house in front of our kids and demanded to be paid for work we did NOT ask, but he claimed to do in suspiciously short period of time (less than 10 min instead of predicted 45 min). We asked about timing - if every pipe takes 45 min how did he managed to make everything in 30 - he could not answer.
We ended up paying him for 15 vents in our house while we've seen him cleaning 10 and for one pipe instead of 2 just to get him out of our house. After all the whole procedure cost us 269$ unstead of 100$ we expected.
