Get this, someone from YukYuks call us tells my wife we have won free tickets as customer appreciation night. So we think great, turns our their marketing is a little off course. We have won free tickets to visit a club that 65 kmh from where we live!? We had visited a location in Toronto close to our home. We kindly thought nothing of asking or mentioning and had asked if they could honour this promo at our local.
So the person we spoke to said no problem and we had asked them to confirm it by email for us. As expected this telemarketing 101 scheme backfired. We called head office next morning and explained that we had not received this email. So they the girl we spoke who would barely let us explain let alone get a word in says "Sorry you cannot honour this here customer appreciation is only for that location" I asked... why would you consider me an appreciative customer if what your offering me has no value as Im not about to drive 120K to go to Ajax and back?
Instead of trying to help us, she flat out interjected and argued and when we asked who is the VP of marketing or heads up that department, she than had the gaul to say " He's not interested in hearing about this and hung up" So we called back, and you can now guess, same person answers the phone and I had asked to speak to a different department. Before I could get a word in she than says "I'll put you through to someone else, places the call on hold for several minutes" (you can now guess whats going to happen)
Next person gets on the phone probably someone trying to cover for her and we try to explain our situation and once again, ZERO LISTENING SKILLS ZERO CLIENT CARE to be polite. We had to end the call and even when we threatened posting this she said "Go ahead with a sarcastic attitude" So needless to say YUKYUKS must be hurting to pull this kind of stunt. Might as well hired someone in India to do telemarketing for them. YUK YUKS... YOUR CUSTOMER CARE AND HEAD OFFICE STAFF our a JOKE!
