I purchased a gift certificate for 150CAD on 23rd March 2007. The certificate had an expiry date of March 23, 2008 on it. There were no shows that I liked were staged before the expiry date. I contacted them to extend it on 24th and my request was denied. I was literally thorwn out of their office. In Ontario, by law, if a business has received money for a gift certificate, they can not hide behind an expiry date and refuse to homour the certificate. How is this law not applicable in Quebec?
