Universal Rewards & Trust used a real check and letter to try and rip me off. Thanks to the information posted on complaint, I was able to avoid any loss whatsoever.
The company sent me a check in the amount of $4, 875. I was instructed to call a number to get further instructions, but I was not to try and cash the check without first calling in for confirmation. I was told that I would need to deposit the check in my personal checking account, then forward $2, 875 for government taxes by way of a Western Union moneygram.
I was also told that this was just a small portion of my real winnings which amounted to $125, 000. Yeah right!!!
Can you say SCAM ARTIST!!! We need to find these guys/girls and put them behind bars foreveer.
