Beware of purchasing puppies off of sites that allow "free advertising" as they are a conduit for puppy mills and brokers. I'm not saying that a large percentage of ads are scams, but be absolutely CERTAIN that you are purchasing from a reputable breeder, and even then take precautions.
Beware of puppy mills and puppy brokers - do not deal with a woman named Sam Binicki - she lives in Strathcona County in the area of Baseline Road and the Ardrossan Road. She is a puppy broker and sells unhealthy pups to unsuspecting victims. A friend of mine had her heart broken when her new little puppy suddenly died only a month or so after she'd adopted him. The autopsy shows a congenital defect, and now this monster of a woman is even trying to deny it was one of her dogs! She sells mostly Yorkies - or any small breed she can get her hands on. She has numerous complaints against her - we've even discovered a CTV television special in 2008 about her - and many complaints on line spanning through the years since then!
Even though many, many people have been sold sick dogs by Samyre, the SPCA will not intervene as they do not have enough proof/complaints. Samyre is able to purchase sick puppies from disreputable breeders for cheap and sells them to people. The puppies have VERY dangerous viruses, ie: eccoli, coccidia, giardia, parvo, etc. that can live on the ground for years and keep infecting any dog on her property as well as passing the viruses along with each puppy she sells. Once the infectious bacteria is in your yard, you cannot own any more dogs until the sun has managed to naturally bleach the bacteria out!! They will contract the virus and die too!! The puppy Samyre sold me was so full of infectious parasites and bacteria that it killed our other dogs too!! If the summer is wet, and there is not a long enough drought, the bacteria will live on for years!
The SPCA is very negligent for not shutting her down - she should never be allowed to own an animal again, due to her abuse and inhumane treatment of animals!!
Please, please, if you have had a problem with this person, report it to the Alberta SPCA at 780-447-3600 so that they will be pressured into taking action against this heartless woman!!

Samyre Binicki sold me a puppy which turned out to be full of parasites and very sick. She was full of round worms, coccidia and giardia (beaver-fever). Because the pup was sick the night we brought her home, and was hospitalized the next day, the vets assured us that we bought a very sick dog from Samyre. The dog was so sick Samyre had to have known about it and sold us the puppy anyway. In contacting other breeders, they have had similar experiences and have terrible stories of how she has lied and deceived them. DO NOT buy a dog from Samyre Binicki, who is from the Edmonton area. I have reported Samyre Binicki to the Alberta SPCA at 780-447-3600 and encourage anyone else who has been cheated by this person to do the same.
