Ok I went throught the interviewing/orientation process with apex-canada, but checked it out online and found many stories on this site about similar companies to this in the states, this on is in London Ont. They say it is headquartered in hamilton, the two guys who hired me were eric peer, and jay agar.
This is a pyramid scheme because they promise you wil move up the 4 levels of their structure, entry, junior mgnt, senior mgnt, owner//operator. Well its a scam because its simply not possible for everyone they hire to move up and have all these people working for them, 1 theres not enough ppl to keep the pyramid growing, and 2 you'd run out of people to sell/market too due to there being so many of you (market saturation)
They say they do promotional marketing for contractors and home renovators, its really just solicating window and door estimates, going door to door. They never even mention any of their clients names.
They promise huge amounts of money, eric and jay claim to make 170g-180g a year after only working there a short while, think if it were such a killer business why aren't MBAs lining up for this type of thing, because they know its bs thats why.
There business isn't even listed on the yellow pages, the office is in an office building, there is no mention anywhere of there company or clients in their office. The website apex-canada.com is just to recruit suckers, no clients, no real contacts, no real business info.
They really push for you to jump on board, promising you huge earnings and a management position withing just months. Come on, life is not so easy, we all wish it were but its not. They will try real hard to get you to work for them immeadiately, so you have no time to reconsider.
Look if you are thinking about working here, you have no idea how much you'll make, its strictly commission, you won't move up from you entry position they say you will uickly but I spoke to a guy there and he'd been entry level for months and wasn't getting anywhere. They simply recruit as many people as possible to go door to door so they can try and make commission off of them and you get what little is left. Then when it goes bust they leave, thats why they have no listing, or signs in the office, its a fly by night pyramid scam.
I hope this helps some of you in making your decisions about this company (if you can call it that) the choice is yours, but I would say stay clear! dont waste your time with even the interviews, go find something else, also read some other reports here about pmg7, apex-marketing and the like thats what this is modeled off of, thanks for listening
