I just want to let everyone know how to protect yourself against these rip-offs. First check with the Better Business Bureau. As they only list Canadian companies that have 20 employees or $500, 000 in sales, don't let yourself think that maybe they just don't have that many employees or the sales are not that high. Next check if they have a phone number and/or a web site. If there isn't one on any of their material go to 411 look-up. I did and there wasn't a listing for them nor a web site. These days most companies have a web site but that can still be phoney. Finally google the name and find out online if there are any reports of a scam on the "company". Unless they are so new that no-one has had a chance to report it, you will more than likely find something on them. I hope this information will help others so they don't get scammed. I can't afford to get scammed either. I know what it's like to be desparate with the economy is so bad and they are praying on our desparation.
