I called Kingsway Financials and they confirmed that this is a scam. They said they have received many phone calls from people receiving the identical notification memo. Kingsway Financials informed me that no one affiliated with them is sending these letters out. Some dishonest individual or individuals not affiliated with Kingway Financials are unlawfully using their company name. The checks being mailed out are fraud. Do not cash them.
